Agent “Home-Based” Toolkit

Due to the global Coronavirus, COVID-19, and a recent increase in confirmed cases in the U.S., more agents, businesses, and consumers are transitioning to a work from home environment. Thankfully, we have access to advanced technology that will allow us to operate outside of the office during this time. We want to assure you that M. Williamson Insurance Services has put protocol in place to adapt to a fully remote environment and we are committed to providing you with the same level of service you are accustomed to. There is also a possibility that our carrier partners may face a mandatory shift to remote work and if that occurs, we will keep you informed.

THERE IS A HUGE DEMAND IN CLIENTS DESIRE TO ACQUIRE LIFE INSURANCE.


As part of our proactive approach, we want to prepare you with some useful tools that will allow your business to move forward even if you are unable to go into the office and/or meet with clients.

STEP 1: e-Application Registration

Click on, “iGO e-App” Button:

You must be logged in to use this feature!
  • If you are registered, you will need to enter your credentials
  • If you are NOT registered, you will need to click on, “Create an account” and follow the prompts.
  • Once you are logged in, click on “Start New Case”
  • From there, enter your client’s information, product, state and then click on “Find Available Products”
  • Once you find the carrier you are looking for, click on “Select” and start completing the e-Application
  • For help collecting client data that is necessary to complete eApps, we are providing a streamlined, form fillable intake form you may share with clients. CLICK HERE

STEP 2: e-Application Tutorial

  • Once you are logged in to the "iGO e-App", hover over the arrow next to “Need Assistance?” and click on “Help”. Here you can find a lot of useful information.
  • Under “Getting Started”, click on “iGO Take the Tour Video” to walk through completing an e-Application

STEP 3: Accelerated Underwriting

In a "work from home" environment it is imperative to offer electronic services to meet the increased demand for life insurance in the following ways:
  • Non-medical underwriting
  • eSignatures
  • The ability to accept EFT forms, and credit cards and initial payment
  • Mobile quoting
  • Be sure to contact Collette Williamson in our licensing department to be sure you are appointed with specific carriers before you may solicit eApps

STEP 4: Policy Delivery

In order to prevent mailing delays, we encourage:
  • e-Delivery
    • If this was not originally requested and you would like to use it, notify your case manager to determine if you can
    • Carriers that currently offer it are Foresters, Lincoln, Principal, Protective, Prudential
  • EFT forms to be used for initial premium payments & copies of requirements emailed to case managers. In some cases credit card payments may be used
  • Third party apps: Genius Scan & Turbo Scan are free apps for your phone that allow you to scan paper documents and export them as multi-page PDF files
  • If a client will be submitting a physical check, please let your case manager know so we can send you the overnight address & a cover letter so you can submit directly to the carrier and provide us with a copy
