Prudential has announced that effective December 11, 2017 they have updated their age and amount exam requirements and discontinued requiring ECGs and EKGs at face amounts below $10 million (all ages).
Since we are already obtaining bloodwork from our prospective clients, we will be using the NT-proBNP test in lieu of the electrocardiogram. From an underwriting perspective, we believe the NT-proBNP test is a better predictor of mortality in our clients.
Additional benefits include:
- Better overall customer experience with the exam process.
- Competitive advantage. Most carriers are starting to look at moving in this direction, but we are one of the first to go there, so use it to your advantage.
Prudential Underwriting features:
- NO stress tests
- NO inspection reports
- NO more ECG’s or EKG’s (under $10 million).
