Mark B. Williamson

President & Relationship Manager

Mark Williamson is a highly accomplished, results-driven Insurance Executive with more than 25 years industry experience. In March of 2001, Mark established M. Williamson Insurance Services. Mark graduated from the University of South Florida in 1991 with a B.A. in Criminology and was the recent recipient of the 2016 University of South Florida Fast 56 Award, The award recognizes Mark and M. Williamson Insurance Services as one of the Fast 56 Fastest Growing Bull Business of its USF alumni. Mark is also the recent winner of the President’s Cabinet from Security Mutual Life. He is happily married with 3 children. Mark is a travel baseball coach and avid snowboarder.


Collette Williamson

Office Manager

Collette joined her husband, Mark Williamson, in the insurance industry in 2010. In 2011 she became a case manager. Collette currently manages all aspects of the business, from licensing and contracting, application submission, underwriting issues, informal submissions, and agent management. In 1988, she graduated from Katherine Gibbs with an A.S. in Secretarial Science. Collette is a proud mother of three children.


Lori Miller

Senior Case Manager

Lori has been in the life insurance business for the past 7 years and has her Life, Health, and Variable Annuities License. She has worked in both the marketing and new business side. Lori likes to use a proactive approach to review cases to anticipate any future issues and try to offer her agents other options when necessary. Lori joined the M. Williamson Insurance Services team in 2013.


Justin Williamson

Head of Sales

Justin Williamson graduated Cum Laude from West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Criminology.  After he interned with Northwestern Mutual 2018-2019, he knew his passion was in finance and insurance and joined M. Williamson after graduation. In his free time he enjoys snowboarding and jetskiing.


Joshua Herrington-Vickers

Brokerage Manager

I’m a brokerage manager specializing in life insurance, long-term care, and annuities. As an Air Force veteran, I bring discipline and commitment to every interaction.

Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud father and the owner of two remarkable deaf huskies. Our unique bond is strengthened through our favorite activity, skatejoring. I also enjoy golfing in my leisure time and take pride in being a top 1% Tetris player. Talking about insurance is my passion, and I’m always eager to help others navigate their insurance needs.

In addition to my professional endeavors, I’m a dedicated military spouse and actively involved in the community. I serve on the board for a non-profit called Jammin for the Camp, which raises funds for the Hoosier Burn Camp through concert events.


Scott Sorensen


Scott Sorensen joined our firm in 2018.  Scott’s role will be to handling all commissions.  Scott has been in this position for the past ten years.  When Scott is not working he and his wife split their time running to all of their children’s sports and activities.


Alex Williamson

Internal Sales & Marketing Associate

Alex graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S in Marketing and a Minor in Sales. During his time as an undergraduate he spent 6 months with Symetra on the Life Sales desk. In his free time he enjoys playing golf.


Rob Carpenter

Marketing Specialist / Website Support

Rob joined our firm as a Marketing Specialist.  He has been a marketing and website professional for over 20 years. In his “downtime” he is also a freelance musician, producer, multi-instrumentalist. He loves to travel and enjoying time with wife and son.

Chief Underwriter

As Chief Underwriting Officer, Ken brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry with approximately 20 of those years in underwriting and underwriting management. Ken earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and has earned industry designations to include FALU, FLMI and ACS.

Will Walker, FLMI, ACS

Director of Member Underwriting Services

Will Walker is the Director of Member Underwriting Services. His experience includes packaging, underwriting and negotiating the best possible offer on large cases. His underwriting acumen was developed when he began his career with Standard Insurance of Oregon. He spent 6 years with Standard underwriting Disability and Life insurance applications. Will is a graduate of San Diego State University; he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in finance.

Gerri Bishop, FALU, CLU, FLMI, AIAA, ACS

Director of Member Underwriting Services

Gerri Bishop brings 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, including roles with Genworth Financial, as a field underwriter for an independent life insurance agent and most recently as Director of Underwriting for a major Brokerage General Agency (BGA) in the Southeast. In her prior role as Director of Underwriting, Bishop was instrumental in implementing a modern and efficient informal case review process and enjoyed working in a fast-paced environment, reviewing medical records, providing underwriting guidance and negotiating offers directly with the insurance carriers.

Rick Lawton, FALU, ALMI, ARA, ACS

Head of Member Underwriting Services

Rick Lawton brings 22 years of experience as a financial advisor. Having both his Series 7 and LAH license allowed Rick to develop customized plans for clients which included the use of insurances for Estate, Business and Personal planning. Rick’s twelve 12 years in the BGA as well as carrier arenas developed his ability to work through underwriting issues or concerns, negotiate underwriting or product solutions and find solutions for adverse underwriting decisions to ensure policy placement.


Elena Castor

Director of Member Services – ABLTC

Elena Castor brings 30 years of insurance industry experience, with roles from the Equitable to working in the BGA and IMO space. Elena is currently responsible for supporting member firms and advisors around the country, providing solutions for Long-Term Care planning, with an emphasis on marketing, sales strategy, and overall training and education.
